We provide opportunities for chess players to win scholarships

College applications and building a resume both benefit greatly from winning our scholarship awards. Colleges are always looking for past success, our events make a great achievement.

Every month we run a scholastic chess tournament with scholarship awards. Sections are based on rating so no matter a player’s strength, they can play in a competitive section with scholarship prize eligibility.

How does it work?

After a player wins a scholarship in one of our tournaments, that player has 30 days to make a 529 bank account. With a 529 bank account we can directly deposit money and it can only be used for college tuition. Over time players can grow their 529 account by winning tournaments with us, and use it on whatever college they attend.
